Conversation: Queer community at home
How do we find each other when maps erase us? How do we flirt, fight, and build family in places that often try to make us invisible - or worse? In this conversation, queer folks from the SWANA region come together to reflect on growing up, coming out (or not), and surviving in countries where queerness is often lived underground, in code, or behind closed doors.
From stolen glances to secret parties, from chosen families to small everyday revolutions - we’ll talk about care, connection, resistance, and desire. This isn’t about victimhood or trauma alone. It’s about the joy of finding your people, the politics of pleasure, and what it means to build a queer community of our own.
